“ You might not even catch the jaw-dropping insinuation of the difficulty selection screen of Rainbow Six Vegas: Your choices are “Normal” or “Realistic.” The insinuation is that Reality Is Not Normal (at least as far as games are concerned). You might say I’m overreacting, that they’re “just games.” What you might not realize is that the number of people who neither play nor buy games vastly outnumbers those who do, and that Stuff Like This is, subconsciously, maybe The Biggest Reason they think games are a weird, ugly fad.
